back to school + souvenirs

Alright so today I went to karaoke with the usual karaoke group! Probably my last karaoke session with them for a while since I told my mum I wouldn't go out so much... even though I've planned a lot of things already? Argh I wish I stopped...  TODAY WAS FUN THOUGH! Everyone was amazingly pro like usual!

HEHEHE TAMMU BOUGHT ME SOUVENIRS FROM JAPAN THOUGH! And even now, I'm still caressing them slowly and lovingly.

FREAKING TENMA!! ...everything is so beautiful, I don't want to use it!!

And anyway, tomorrow is the first day of Year 11 for me and it's also my friend, Jenny's birthday! We didn't get to celebrate my other friend CC's birthday either so I decided to have a mini joint party before we go to the beach to celebrate their birthday properly! I'm pretty excited because I ordered a marble cheesecake from the Cheesecake Shop with their names on it! I hope they like it! Everyone else is making nice food for the occasion too! Can't wait to see my friends again! Got CC a Batman hoodie and Jenny a webcam plus some flowers.

Yesterday, I met with an old primary school friend, we ate Poporo, walked around the city and took sticker photos!

LOL @ the random poo picture.

Thought I had doubts at first, like it being awkward and stuff, it turned out to be a really great day! I hope to meet up with more old friends soon! Glad some haven't changed.  And she bought me gifts from Hong Kong too!
IT IS SO DAMN CUTE ARGHHH and then there is a REALLY adorable camera keychain there though you can't really see! Everyone has been getting me camera and owl stuff, they know exactly what I love.

Alright, and some new school supplies:

Ignore the hair on the floor... it's not mine at all.... anyway, new pencil case with Barnaby on it! Bought it at SMASH last year.... new pencil holder for my desk and highlighters as well as some new books, of course. I bought a new binder as well because the colour was nice, not sure if I'll actually use it.

Also, finished painting the fabric for Hakuouki! Will post pictures once I finish the vest as well.

REMINDER TO SELF: Buy swords!

are you ready to board... the chu chu train?

FIRST POST! What should I do... introduce myself? Even though I don't think other people other than my friends would be interested in this blog... but hi! My name is Jenny, I'm currently 16 though I regard myself as a child whenever someone asks me to pay for a ticket.  I like to take photos, I like to cosplay and eat... but because of these hobbies, my pockets are always empty.

Anyway...! I was slightly more productive today, my Takano wig has arrived and I played a little with make-up:

I only did one eye, since I couldn't really be bothered. Though my face is manly, my body is far from manly...  Trying to fix that by binding my ass or something and investing in some shoulder pads HAHA.

And since school was coming up, I decided to finally man up and paint on this painfully annoying fabric for the first time for Heisuke (Hakuouki, Western ver.):

That's about 20% done... right now, I've done about 40% so I'm getting there! As I painted, I found other methods that were easier and made it more consistent (though it still looks really bad...). For example, I attached a piece of craft foam to the end of the marker for the circles!  For the vest, I'm using this gorgeous material:

Suppose it's not accurate to the character, but honestly, Heisuke deserves a more awesome uniform... I mean look at Okita's and Hijikata's!  A bit nervous to sew this though, since I don't think I have enough fabric...

Cosplay aside...

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR!

Had lots of fun meeting my cousins' little adorable babies and taking creeper photos of them! Ate some decent food and got a decent amount of money which will miraculously disappear pretty soon...

Now, treat yourself with this great creation:
